I spent an extra few days ensuring that my screens were superglued securely. I gave extra glue layers more time to expand/solidify. I also spent an extra day allowing my screens to dry in a small hallway closet. I let the screen hang for about 36 hours in the darkroom after applying the emulsion which gave me really amazing prints.

I have a lot of shirts to print.. so I really want to make sure the silkscreen stencils are strong enough to survive the amount of printing and washing out that needs to be done.
I'm going to spend tonight and probably all day tomorrow using paintbrushes and emulsion paint to add finishing touches. I'm going to use my painter's tape to make the screens look more uniform by wrapping the wood frames. This will cover up excess emulsion paint and expanded superglue. I'll be sealing the silk sheet to the wood and correcting the stencil using more activated photoemulsion.Â

I can't wait to get these shirts finished but I absolutely cannot rush this process. I can't afford to waste shirts or paint and I need people to get the most perfect print I can give by hand. If I mess these screens up I most likely will not get another shot at restarting this process.
I want to thank people for buying shirts. For the people who might be frustrated waiting, I want to remind everyone that I'm handling this entire process on my own and from scratch. I assembled these screens myself, designed the shirts myself, I planned and executed the entire silkscreening process myself. I want to let people know I appreciate their patience and their support but it'll all be useless or a waste of resources if the shirts aren't to up peoples' expectation.
Here are pictures of my ultraviolet light exposure process and pictures of the almost finished silkscreens.Â

I want to show my gratitude by making sure peoples' shirts are perfect, especially after so many people have been waiting for a while to get them. I'm just happy to be healthy and doing what I love, which is making art thanks to everyone listening. I'll post pictures of the shirts as soon as I finish a few.
